Many people do not mind waiting if they understand what is going on. The main things I look at for glasses are frame weight, hinge quality and lens coating. A product that still looks good after a few months is more impressive than something only good on arrival.
If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test.

Taking a few minutes to research before buying can save a lot of money and frustration. Sometimes I even measure an existing frame with a ruler before ordering anything new. Loose hinges make the glasses slide down the nose again and again. Smaller shops can be surprisingly friendly if they care about repeat customers. Personally I like a mix of design, comfort and realistic pricing. People who share height and weight information make it easier to choose the right size. I also like when stores show real photos without heavy editing or strange angles. For light summer tops I keep to my normal size to avoid a baggy look.
Hope this helps someone. |
